Default Missing crank bolt!

I installed my cam about 2 weeks ago. Well today I went to put on my
new ASP pulley. Put the car up on the lift and went to put on the pulley remover and there was no bolt holding the stock pulley on
I guess I got lucky that the pulley didn't come off. I later realized that
when I did the cam swap and put the stock pulley back on that I didn't
use locktite . What kind of damage could have happened had the pulley
come off?

yeah I did use a new bolt and tightened it down pretty
good with my big 240lb butt pushing on the breaker bar.
But like I said I didn't use locktite and somehow it came loose?

You shouldn't have to use loctite if you used a new torque to yield bolt.

That is weird, I always have a hard time getting my bolt broke back loose with a 3' breaker bar...

I'm positive I put it in.It was a new GM bolt, I remember taking it out of the bag. This time I used locktite on my new ARP bolt.

new gm bolts already have a form of locktite on them :dunno:, all the tq to yield bolts do. hope you have better luck with the arp bolt.

The pulley must have been bound up somehow then strightened out when you ran it causing you to loose torque on the bolt.
