I haven't ever gotten in trouble for my cut out. If I ever get pulled over I just close it. I don't think it would be illegal if its after the cats besides being to loud. It also depends on your state laws. And yes I did do it myself but it honestly doesn't look very good in person. I would just recomment powder costing them.

If you can figure out the rattle, I'll fix mine. Mine does it at 2200 rpm to 2500 rpm. So for most driving, it's not bad.

Oh, and when I first start off theres a little rattle. Whatever, it's a Camaro, not a mercedes. **** is going to make noise.

Mine rattles when it's closed. If I get it closed just right it wont do it. When it's open the whole car rattles though

Damn i hear this a lot!!! Makes me not wanna get a E-cutout and just keep my manual one. I keep it open all the time anyway. Do you all pretty much keep yours open all the time or do you shut it for less interior noise???

Honestly I would get a manual one next time around. I left it open 364 days a year, and just shut it when I would have that magical day at the inspection place. If I got pulled over i had to shut my car off....then wait for the cop to leave before firing it back up.
