80mm throttle body or S3
80mm throttle body or S3 I have a 2000 WS6 with basic bolt ons. Afriend gave me a BBK 80mm throttle body. I was considering a S3. I do have a LS6 manifold so thought the BBk might be the better choice.
I have an S3 and I love it but if you've been given a BBK 80 MM that should be great. You feel more throttle response with either but the Ported TB don't give you much hp to the wheels. I'd say stick with the BBK. Now if you had to purchase one then I would say go with the S3
Shaner S3 are really good.I have a BBK 80mm and I had Mark Shaner port it for me.I have had two done for me and my buddie had one done for him.They really kick ***.If you got a BBK throttle body for free then use it.Why buy one if you don't have to.If you have the supporting mods(cam,heads,etc) porting it will make it even better.

I'm going to keep the bbk since it is cost effective. It doesn't make sense to have it ported by shaner? yet. I'm only running bolt ons this year. Next year it'll probably be the head and cam change and then I'll send him the tb.
