A/C Removal?

I am looking at cleaning up my engine bay and clearing out the A/C system, also possibly looking at taking the heater core out and heater hoses. Has anyone taken the Heater out of the car, and has it made it difficult for not be able to defrost the windows when/if needed. Also i am trying to get the A/C evaporator out but i'm having a hard time to figuring it out. Does anyone having any tips on getting this thing out? Thanks

if the evap, is that octagon shaped container, just undo the bands that are wrapped around it
I cant remember, but I believe they had screws in them kinda like band clamps

Well the evaporator core & case is bolted in to firewall.
Without the evap & case & a heater core I dont know how you would get air from blower to anything.
Are you making a complete drag car?

Well i got everything knocked out today. No i am not making a complete drag car, but i want everything that i can get out of the engine bay to be gone. I guess i will find out shortly how life with no a/c or heat will be.
