What is this cable for?
What is this cable for? I decided to swap my TB over the weekend. I know the throttle cable runs off the gas pedal. Whats the adjustable cable next to it? I am asuming cruse control? Its a 6 speed so it cant be a TV cable, not to mention they havent used those in quite some time. I ask because the plastic clip that affixes to the TB cam just snaped on and off real easy. Is there a servo that pulls that cabe when the cruse control is engauged? If so wouldnt it pop off? I thoght perhaps it was just for positioning however I wonder wouldnt the throttle position sensor take care of that?
Its going to either be traction control or cruise control. If you have one or the other its easy, but if you have both one cable goes down to the lower drivers fender thats the CC. The other one is TC.
I only have cruse control, no traction. So that cable pulls the throttle plate open when my cruse control is engauged? it doesnt feel very secure mounted on that ball. It feels like it would just simply pop off if you tug on it. Theres no C-clip or anything, it just pressed on very lightly with my thumb.
