Question Getting rid of EGR

If I get headers without EGR provisions on my 00 Z28 and a LS6 intake will I get the service engine light for not having the EGR?

for best gains yes and possibly to keep your a/f ratio straight. installed my whole setup and went, no tuning or anything. some people experience running rich though which is where the tuning comes in.
