is the pcv heat sink needed? im really moding my pcv system and need to know if i need that or not. its kinda in the way

I've been told that it's not absolutley necessary to have it on....it just helps the PCV get up to operation temp faster, AFAIK. Depending on where you are geographically, I would say that you could ditch it. Myself being in Florida where we rarely see temps under 40*, I would lose mine--had I not already put it on when I redid my PCV system (found out afterwards).

thanks for the imput, thats what i thought. i live in charlotte and park in the garage but the valve sits real close to the valve cover and gets warm fast. so i guess i should be ok.
