Default Just installed FLP LT

Just finished installing the headers. Took about 4 1/2 hours on a rack and they slid right in, no grinding or steering shaft removal, had to remove about 4 inches of the I pipe and replaced the plugs at the same time.I ordered the set for a 2000 SS with egr and ended up removing all the egr system and blocked of the plates, With the extended warrenty if I need to I will put it back on.Sounds great .

How does the y-pipe fit? Does it bang the floor board? They had problem with their y-pipes banging and wanted to know if they have fixed the problem. Also how low does the y-pipe hang. Do you have pics of the headers installed? I am considering these headers and thats why I am asking these questions. Thanks for you help.

We left off that thin brace under the y pipe off and I was told that everybody else does also. The lowest part of the pipes is the left cat, ground clearence with eibach pro springs is 4 inches ouch!. but the installation went as smooth as silk
Good luck

4" isn't bad at all. Stock clearance is only about 4.25" at the lowest part of the left side stock Y-pipe. I measured mine before I put the headers on. My current setup give me only 3.25" and that's been just fine. I never hit anything with it....

That's good to know it took me longer to get the car off the rack than it did to install the headers
