Default headers w/o o2 sims

in about a month ill be getting heads installed and the car tuned using ls1 edit and i was wondering if i can put my pacesetters on now and just unhook my o2's...obviuosly this will set a code but how do you think driveability would be and could it wait a month till i get tuned? Or should i see if i can pick up some o2 sims on the cheap for the time being to get me by?

thanks
Bill

It would be ok without the post cat O2's.
The fronts you'll need extentions for them.
But if you doing all that, might as well wait to do the whole thing at once.

I agree do both at once, why unbolt manifolds/headers twice? You will need extentions for the front 02's, and sims/tuning for the rears or live with the low cat effeciency code.Good luck.

The car will run fine, it will just throw a code untill you turn off the rear o2's. Did this on my freinds car and it took Predator a week or so to get me a tune for him. He said it was running fine even with the code. As for the extentions, the pace setters come with wires to extend the o2 sensor harness that is on the car now. I have the pace setters and opted to go with a pre terminated set of extentions. O2 sensors are not cheap, if you want to extend the wires yourself you may run into problems. BTW good choice on pace setter. They are much easier to install than the Hooker LT's.

yah ive had the pacesetters sitting for nearly a month now...i was planning on just picking up ls1 edit with some extra cash i had but with patriots s2 perimeter bolt heads being so cheap now i decided to just put a couple hundred more together and get them instead, but ive just let the headers sit for so long now im getting ancy and want to just throw them on...the heads im having someone else do so "I'm" only gonna be unbolting the manifolds once lol...i have o2 extensions already so that hadnt been a concern i just wanted to know experience if it ran like crap or not...thanks guys.
