Default Which mods first

I just purchased a 2002 Camaro Z28 A4 stripper with 2.73 gears (Picking it up tonight). The goal for this car is to run 11's and be as stealthy as possible. I saw Colonel's combination which sounds awesome but a little more than I want to spend.

I'm looking for suggestions on parts and which ones to get first.

You can go a long ways with Bolt-on's

Start saving for a torque converter and tires

converter = -.5et
headers and catback = -.3-.5et with good tires

If you want to keep it as cheap as possibile with the biggest results for your money:

3500+ stall TC
sticky tires (DRs)
air lid
cut-out
remove some weight (jack & spare, rear seats, padding under carpet, etc.)

If you want to spend a little more I'd say headers & ORY next.

Torque converter should be first on the list in the A4

I think you will see the most difference at the track with good traction and a Torque Converter. I say Tires and Torque Converter and a lid.

I completely agree a converter will give great results. I was thinking a converter, tranny cooler, shift kit, lid, FTRA, Nitto DR's, and ported throttle body.

I'm unsure which converter to run. From reading other peoples posts I can't believe the high stall people run on daily drivers. Any suggestions?

3500 stall on a street car is no big deal with lock up. You get used to it in about 100 miles.

Get whatever lid is the cheapest, they all perform the same. I've had the same Whisper lid on two different LS1 cars over the past 4+ years. Still looks/fits like new....
