LS1 THROTTLE BODY CONVERSION ELECT. TO CABLE help hey guys am buying a ls1 for a motor swap in a 69 camaro an i think the motor i have bot but yet to get. has the fly by wire? how would i go bot changin it over to the good old cable.

an one more thing am runing a tko 600 tranny an the wire harness is for a auto would i have to get a wire harness for a manual are would it just work?? are would i have to go with the wire harness from painless wiring?

im intrested in this myself because i think i found an ls7 for cheap, and would love it in my 4th gen.
i saw a gto with a throttle cable on it and wondered what it took.
the gto is in the newest GMHTP magazine, april 2010 and the article is "long live the goat" (the fastest IRS gto in the country)
i hope some one will explain all details it would take

I'd think that you would need a different pedal setup along with engine harness and the pcm reprogrammed. Imo not worth it the ls1 gto came eith a cable tb while the ls2 gtos got DBW

hey guys thanks for ur input i called the guy an he said its drive by cable but i dont get a pedel with the motor how are is it to match it up with a 69 camaro gas pedel are any other idea's
