well im glad everything worked out for ya.

i'd say the wires doing that is because of the heat shield, but as long as there connected all the way on both ends. it doesnt matter, especially since u already drove around with no problems.
have fun

Lets hope the passenger side this weekend works out for me too!

I'm hoping its just the heat shields, the plugs had none to very little binding when putting them in, so I'm pretty sure its safe, just wanted some opinions.

What hood is that on your car? Looks sweet in your sig.

The only thing that wasn't put back on when I did my plug/wire change was the heat shields. And I agree that its stupid and your a half *** mechanic if you can't put the last bolt back on the back coil... that was probably the EASIEST PART of changing my wires/plugs was taking off the coil...

I didnt put the last bolt back holding my coil bracket on on the drivers side because it took me FOREVER to get it out, freaking bracket that attaches to the back of the head and to that bolt made me say quiet a few bad words. You could not pay me enough money to put that bolt back on.

OK, well we covered a lot of different things. LOL Anyone else in agree that wires are skewed like that because of the heat shields? They are rather taught... Thinking about taking the shields off, but I like to put things back 100%...

It could just be the wires, as you have a small female end that isn't centered like the stock ones. (shrug)

As far as the last coil bracket bolt, mine will go back in one way or another.

I actually did throw my head shields away. for one, they SUCKED and I plan on getting some different heat shields and for 2 I have a lifetime warranty on my wires so if they burn up..I'll just go get new ones and I don't have headers yet, still factory manifolds...so far so good...

Those heat shields are SHITTY!!! and they look stupid imo.

I left the last bolt off too, not because I can't get it back on, but because I didn't feel like ******* with it again next time around. Laziness. and YES my hands are effin for my size. Still took about ~2 minutes to get the coil pack bracket off though.

Im a big dude and yea when i finally got the last bolt off the passenger side VC i Threw that F*cker... I havent seen any issues with leaving it out and yea it makes it alot quicker to get the coils off in the future..Call it Afro Engineering if you will but thats Just my 2 cents.

Got the passenger side done. I couldn't get my 10mm deep socket to drop down onto the bolt... So I said fock it, and left the coil packs in the way. Wasn't to bad, just taking the air tube off was enough room for me. Though the #8 was a PITA... Not much room for my ratchet up in there lol. But I got it done, started her up, and no problems again. So I'm pretty proud of myself overall... Now next weekend, probably replace my drivers window motor!
