Default GMMG, to be or not to be?

Is it worth the price? I have heard so many people say it's the best, and I am thinking about swapping my LM for it. I am also not going to have headers for a few years, and I have heard its crazy nice sounding without them anyways. Opinions will be greatly appreciated!

Power difference between the GMMG and LM are negligable. Both are excellent in that department. The only difference is going to be in the sound department. So the question is, what do you think of how our LM exhaust sounds? Do you like it? Are you borderline? Do you hate it?

If you hate it, than you probably should replace it. I'm a firm believer that money is well spent in replacement something you aren't happy with, regardless what you're unhappy about.

If you're borderline, it's a judgement call.

If you like it, it's still a judgement call, but there's really little point in making the swap unless you like the sound of the GMMG much much more.

If you're borderline or like the LM, you should definitely make an effort to hear the GMMG in person. No sound clip can do any exhaust sound justice. There's just not enough bass, low frequency reproduction, nor the FEEL you get from a throaty exhaust. You really shouldn't make a commitment without hearing the differences in person.

GMMG is the best exhaust that I have heard on a F-body period. Yes, I have heard LM. Just glad I got on GMMG's group perchase. This exhaust turns heads everywhere I drive. If you have the extra mod money it will be well spent.

Well,
There is a BAD side effect to buying a GMMG.
Having gotten a new Grand Prix for a daily driver so I could take the Firehawk off the road and begin reversing two years of daily driven use, it was only taken out rarely at about a once a week pace.
HOWEVER....now that the GMMG is on there, I find myself wanting to take it out everyday and drive it, just to HEAR the GMMG exhaust!!!
Man, at this pace, I will have a spanking new Grand Prix sitting around collecting dust!

Between the opinions of myself and Dawg One....YOU GOTTA GET THE GMMG MAN! We both will never listen to radio in the f-bodies anymore and we drive, not to go anywhere but to hear the car. Talk to lawmanSS and you will get the same thing. Now that I think about it, I have never heard one bad opinion about the GMMG exhaust. The only problem I have is that I haven't gotten one good street run since its been on.

So true, man, so true!

I don't think people know what to think when they hear an F-Body with a GMMG. Not knowing what it is, it must surely bring visions of heads and cam and headers and God knows what else lurking under the hood to the unsuspecting...unlike ricers who think coffee can fart exhausts = power, our cars + GMMG does = power.

I love my Loudmouth, I love the deep rumble and volume. I'll post sound clips of the before and after with headers, I'm not such a fan of it with headers so far. But then again the headers are open ATM.

I love those friggin' tips....How much extra $$$$ are they when you get the GMMG? Also, if anyone lives in the Sacramento area that has GMMG I would love to set up a concert, lol. Everyone says hear it in person, so if anyone can help, let me know.

Tips are an extra $150. I'm sure people will criticize that too...but with the recent Holiday GP pricing, it was a full $95 off the regular price.
If you own a Trans Am, you WANT these tips.
The slash tips just don't do the chambered exhaust justice.
Because my Firehawk is factory lowered with the Bilstein Suspension, all you can see from the rear ARE the tips, so I wanted them no matter what.
BTW: GMMG won't sell the tips unless you buy the exhaust; that question usually comes up. I am a firm believer in my decision and good luck finding someone with one of these so you can hear it. It'll make a believer out of you too!

Man you guys are getting me really excited about the GMMG. I just installed my pacesetter long tubes and I'm getting my tranny rebuilt and a new clutch kit put in and I can finally order my GMMG sometime next month I can't wait to have my car running again with the new exhaust and clutch.

The bad part is: you missed out on the GP savings.
The good part is: GMMG is supposed to start taking credit cards sometime early this year, so that should help the old mod bank account!

It doesnt look too tough to have one fabricated at less than 1/2 the cost of a GMMG. Look here---->www.classicchambered.com/
