Default Headers very close to oil filter, Problem?

Recently purchased a 98 SS that has FLP longtube headers on it. Did an oil change today and the previous owner was using a stock size oil filter. I like to use a long filter (Mobil 1 206) After installing the new oil filter it's VERY close to my headers. Probably about 1/8th inch between the header and the filter.

Anyone else have this issue or think that it will be a problem with the heat from the header?

Thanks for any input

I don't have that issue, but if its that close, maybe you should stick to the shorter filter.

Default

FLP headers where known for being close to the headers. put something around the filter like a larger spark plug wire boots.
