5.3 evap and intake question
5.3 evap and intake question I just picked up a 2001 5.3 yesterday for a jeep swap and I have a couple of questions. I have heard that you can delete the EVAP system, and I was wondering if you normally leave the EVAP solenoid in place and cap off the purge line, or do you pull it out and block off the opening? Does anyone sell a block plate for this?
The other question I have is that I have about a 1 inch diameter hole on the top of the intake about 4 inches back from the throttle body and near the EVAP solenoid. It looks like something used to be there and was broken off or pulled out. Does something go in this or is it supposed to have a plug of some kind like some of the other ports in the intake. If it supposed to be plugged does anyone know the part number or have a good suggestion on the best way to plug it.
