Question How to Port stock Throttle Body???

I have a 2002 WS6 and just bought a 85mm MAF. I would like to get more flow out of my stock Throttle Body. I don't have the cash now to buy a new Throttle Body!! Can I PORT my stock one???? If so, how??? Pics would help.. Thanks!!
PS.. The MAF is used and descreened, Is this going to give me issues?? It's not a race car. Can you put a screen back in after it's removed?? If so, where can I buy one???

I've seen so many people port so many throttle bodies and the gains on the dyno rarley can be accounted for once you calculate error and difference from one run to another. people usually over port them and start to throw codes. I'd say leave it until you can afford a 90+ mm setup.

Then the people you are referring to didn't know what they were doing. I have ported many, many, throttle bodies, and not once has anyone thrown a code, but everyone has noticed increased throttle response at the minimum.

I did some testing on the dyno one day with one of my ported throttle bodies and a stock one. Keeping the parameters as close to the same as possible between runs, the ported unit made between 6-7 rwhp and 5-6rwtq more than the stock one.

The LS6 intake and a properly ported factory throttle body is still a good performer and very budget friendly.

I did mine with the help of a forum a drill and a grinding stone. I mean its not great but hey for a few bucks is alot better than paying someone or going out and buying expensive tools for something that will show minimal gains. Just becareful not to make a hole in it... if you do theres always that epoxy stuff to seal it back up.
