Did this last weekend and my broke college *** was able to get them all in a parking lot. Took me an hour including using the scissor jack to get to the back passenger side plug, #8 that is.

Don't have to undo coils or unbolt exhaust.

i think alot of people make doing plugs alot harder than it really is.especially if its taking you more than an hour

yeah no kidding. people who bitch about changing the spark plugs on there cars should stick to cars with 4 cyls.

I took me 2 hrs the first time to do them. I have to do them to my vette this weekend, doesnt seem to be as bad as the f-bodys, Just be patient and take your time. make sure car is COLD too.

ive changed the plugs on my car 7 times now. ive had four different exhaust manifolds and stock is by far the easiest. try doing them on a forward facing turbo manifold covered in header wrap

heres what you need to do:

REMOVAL
1) remove the coil brackets
2) remove all smog crap out of the way
3) buy a sparkplug socket that has a hex on the end (so you can put a wrench on it)
4) i dont ever need a swivel. just that socket and maybe a 1" extension for some plugs. for the ones that you cant fit the socket and ratchet, slide the socket on, and use the wrench to loosen.
5)once you break the sparkplug loose, you can usually get it the rest of the way with your fingers.

INSTALL
1) cut off the boot on an old sparkplug wire (the sparkplug side of the wire) and slide just a little bit onto a new sparkplug with antiseize on it.
2) thread it in using the boot. this will keep you from stripping any threads and helps to get in weird angles.
3) tighten the same way as removal
4) install wires
5)install coil brackets BUT ONLY USE 3 OF THE BRACKET BOLTS!!! this way you can get the coils off super fast next time (you dont need all the bolts to hold em on there)
6) reinstall (or throw away) smog **** devices

it will take a while the first time, but after some practice it will go way faster. i can do a plug change even on my turbo manifolds in about 10 min.

its really not as bad as it seems at first i just have trouble getting the boots off every time i want to pull one. Just use a wrench on the socket head on the ones you cant get with a ratchet. i cracked a few during a header install and didnt realize until a bit later but it was a learning experience as far as changing plugs in an f-body.
