2. 15-20rwhp maybe.
3. No cats = loud | no cats through a catback = mustang with flowmasters
4. too much money.
I would recommend just buying a set of Pacesetters for just as much money, and you will have a longtube header that will sound better and make more power. Check the sponsers.

We are a sponsor, and we can go as low as $459.99, we have a few sets in stock.

macs
Had them on my Z28, no fitment issues, I took my stock manifolds off and installed the macs and Y pipe in under 2 hrs. They never leaked, just make sure to torque from the center out...........

I have installed about 10 sets of Mac headers over the years. Never had a problem with either set, all fit great, and worked well. I've seen a 23 rwhp increase on a buddy's car with STOCK INTERNALS. My car saw a 21 rwhp increase also with stock internals.
Mac's are a great header for the money and make just as much peak RWHP as a Longtube. Especially if you have the flanges modified and port the primaries.

Yep. I had the MACs on before I did H/C/LTs and was very happy with them. Combined with an LS6 intake, I picked up 30rwhp, so the MACs (with cats!) had to be worth at least 18rwhp. Easy install and I didn't have any fitment, or leak problems. You can get them cheap used as people upgrade to LTs. I let mine go for well under $300...
