Take out the spark plugs, don't rush it, and have a beer!

Its for sure a lot easier with 2 people too!

Do motor mounts while you're in there, please. I wish I would have done those when I was doing my header swap like 3 years ago. I'm just to lazy to drop my entire exhaust now in my garage on jackstands to do it. So pissed I didn't do it then.

I just did mine today by myself....was a PITA trying to bolt the headers in by myself, especially the passenger side. So i would definately reccomend having someone help you. And everyone says to take the spark plugs out ( and i understand why) but i left them in there and had no problems. I even rested my headers on the spark plugs to hold them up while i climbed out from underneath the car to bolt them on up top. But it's really a pretty easy, straight forward job.

cut that little tab offa the block, drivers side, there are 3 casting blocks, cut the rearmost one off. or grind it down, makes an almost impossible install into something very simple.

oh yeah, and finesse, this is one of those times where you wanna be a mechanic and pound them in, use finesse, like you would with a woman lol. trust me it helps

Two words of advice...header studs. They are expensive, but make it so much easier. Oh, and do the motor mounts while you have the room.

ya know, he said motor mounts, if you look at my other post on here "solid mounts" alot of discussion going on there, good point, do it all at once. i'm doing a full exhaust in october and i wish i had the patience to have waited. either way, +1 on doing it all at once. i think from spohn it's like 100 something for the pair, (don't quote me tho) oh yeah, that's for solids haha, like i said, read that post i was talking about.
