Default 228/228 comp cam

i found a local guy trying to sell this package for 550

228/228 114 lsa .581 .591 comp cam, patriot gold valve springs, hardened 7.400 comp cam pushrods, gm crank bolt, and the 16 titanium retainers 32 machined locks and 16 machined bases.

should i go for it i have a stock ls1 in a 67 camaro
i only have sanderson headers
im planning on getting and ls6 intake before i get it tuned with the cam package

also do i need new injectors what should i be going for 36lbs?
and also will this cam be fuel efficient i know its a mild cam thats what the guy told me im trying to see somewhere 380 rwph to 400rwhp so will that give me what i cant with maybee 22mpg
thanks
guys

I think it will be a great cam for you... mines a notch below at 224/224 .581 .581 on a 114. It's a GREAT cam for a street car with a lot of midrange torque and middle powerband... 36lbs injectors would be perfect for you... As long as you're not going over about 480-500 rwhp, there's no reason to go any larger and they get harder to tune the larger you go. As far as gas mileage... keep your foot out of it and I don't think you'll be hurting too bad. I still get decent mileage on the freeway. Around town is a different story, but it's sort of the nature of the beast. It's still by no mean horrible...

I have the exact cam and valvetrain package. I dynoed at 380rwhp on a mustang dyno! I ran with the stock ls1 injectors.
