Default Cant get intake to fit TSP 408

Trying to get an intake on a TSP 408 and dowels on the intake do not want go into the heads. The heads are TSP 317 heads and the intake is an LS1 intake. It fits fine on the LS1 but not the 408. The motor was built for boost and I wouldnt think the heads would have been milled.

Any one? Also I measured the spread on the intake bolts from side to side and the 408 block the holes are 1/16th of an inch closer than the ls1

IIRC the LS1 intake wont fit L92 heads. That could be the problem. I havent studied up too much on the L92's but I think I remember something said about that. Try searching the Gen IV section.

Gen III intake wont fit Gen IV heads, you need a Gen IV intake. L92, LS3...etc...

I thought 317 heads were cathedral port 6.0 heads.

My guess is they have been milled a bit.

i see that now, i was looking at his sig not the actual post...guess i shouldnt log in after a 12 pack and 2 shots.

from the sound of it it may be a problem with the intake itself. i had my 862 heads milled from stock CC to 58cc's and had no problem getting my LS6 intake to fit.

Yeah I was lookin at his sig also. Must be the intake or what about the bolt heads on the valley cover? Are those possibly hitting the bottom of the intake and preventing it from going lower?

I had 317's on my 347 that were milled .035" and had no problem
with the LS-1 or LS6 or the Fast 90 intakes.
