Voltage maxing on car

Voltage maxing on car After a tuning session I was on the way home and got on it. As I started to slow down I looked at the gauges and the voltage gauge was maxed and many of the warning lights were lit up like Air bag light, abs light, etc. I got back to the house and then went out of town. When I just got back tonight I tried to start the car to see if maybe the alternator had gotten hot and the car was completely dead.
I hooked up the jump box and fired up the car and the voltage gauge once again maxed so I cut it off.
What could be causing this? Electrical short maybe?

I agree with the above... however, have you washed your engine bay lately? I got a puddle of water that accumulated where my power plugs into my altenator after washing the engine bay. It did exactly what you are talking about. I got an air compressor, cleaned out the puddle of water in the socket and it fixed the problem...
