Default ***4" mufflex finally installed!!!***

ok so here it is, after a long wait for sorting out different issues its FINALLY ON. my exact set up is: TSP o/r y, flowmaster 3" to 4" merge, mufflex 4" cat back with dual stainless 3.5" tails.

here is the merge on the car:

had to go with a little more of an angle than i had anticipated on the drivers side but i don't think it will hurt anything. still came out real nice with very minimal hacking. TSP y was a perfect donor for this operation.

and here is the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3jwE7tjed4

over all i am very pleased, the sound is AMAZING, best cat back i've ever heard, i **** u not my gf was almost in tears she was so excited(she was with me the whole time at the shop). the deep tone this thing delivers is unparalleled to any other y pipe and cat back system i've heard. the only way to get deeper is to have dumps and i've been down that road...anyways the only down side to this exhaust is there is some rattling at certain times due to the massive pipe coming into contact with the upper PHB, but that was expected and its fully tolerable for now. also it may be a little heavy for some of you weight ****'s out there but i would never know the difference.

Sounds GREAT man! I love this exhaust, I would NEVER get another F-Body without putting this exhaust on.

sounds great. i almost got this exhaust but decided to go with my magnaflow/ecutout instead. its funny how everybody has very different opinions about exhaust. i think its the most controversial subject on the site

Looks nice. Id like to see a picture of the rest of the exhaust though.

P.S. You post up that damn flowmaster merge so much I'm starting to think you two are seeing each other. My wheels are bent brian, what should I do? "flowmaster merge". That building is on fire and their are children trapped inside! Whatever shall we do? "Stand back citizen! I will use my flowmaster merge to avert the flames".

I'd be curious to see a back to back comparison of a y with and without a flowmaster merge. I doubt my exhaust would have netted me anymore power then it already has with a different merge

non the less I can't imagine it hurts anything lol

Everything looks good, except that freaking metal BOX you have under your car...oh wait, that's your muffler. Lol! Stands out waaaaay too much. Even more than the normal muffler that usually sits there...might wanna paint it black to disguise it...

As for the sound...sounds REALLY good. Nice and deep from the clip. Sure you don't wanna go back to that rumbler Hahaha!

yeah i kno...but on the other hand i really don't even care. it sticks out way more in pictures than it does in person. but yeah painting it black is one option. also lowering the car will help hide it. but i spend most of my time inside the car driving it lol not kneeling outside staring at the *** of it.

and yes the sound is AWESOME. you really can't tell just how deep it is from the vids.

He's running this setup on a TSP ORY, so the answer is yes, you can.

i am running an o/r y. the cat back shipped to my door cost about 700. the fm merge was 55. the tsp y was 130. and to have it welded up and installed was 175. its not cheap, but i was tired of dickin around with cheap set ups not being up to my expectations. its true you get what you pay for.

oh i meant to mention the ground clearance, its surpisingly good for how big the damn pipe is haha. you can tell in some of the pics how well it tucks up.

Sounds great. I tried a spintech 3" inlet muffler as one of my many exhaust experiments and really liked it. One question though. If you're accelerating part throttle through the 2400 -2900 rpm range do you get that booming sound? Close to a drone but not really and definately not a rasp but just a louder sound than before or after that rpm range?

So do you happen to have any numbers (dyno/drag times) before swap? I like this setup and was wondering what heads are going on the car?

custom welded exhaust generally fits better

375rwhp with true duals, no 1/4 mile yet. i have a set of 799's, ls6 intake, 85mm tb, and 30lb red tops waiting to go on the car. the injectors and heads are both about a day away from being shipped. as soon as they get here ill be getting into g-force as soon as they can take me. and don't worry a thread will follow
