Purchasing a short block... which gaskets needed to complete the build?
Purchasing a short block... which gaskets needed to complete the build? Im going to be purchasing a shortblock real soon and would like to gather all the little things to complete the build before I even order the shortblock.
Im looking for a list of gaskets Ill need when I transfer parts from my current LS1 to the new shortblock.
So far Im coming up with:
-Intake
-Head
-Water pump
-Exhaust manifold
-Rear cover
-Front cover
-Oil pan
So far parts Im gathering:
-Melling HV Oil pump
-Timing chain JWIS (not sure if Ill go double or not)
-LS7 Lifters
-LS2 Lifter cups
-ARP head studs
Most of the hardware, bolts and such, will be reused from my current LS1.
Anything Im missing? (I did search but didnt come up with anything specific to building a short block to long block.)
