Default New Dynomax VT Mufler

I got an email from Dynomax talking about their VT muffler. It's got a valve inside it to control the flow, and it's a strait thru design. Here's the link to it:

I'm not sure how loud they'd be, since it looks like only half of the muffler gets any kind of baffling, but then again, the spring-loaded valve would probably have some affect on low velocity conditions (like idle), with a little more noise cancellation than a strait-thru design.

I also wonder if there would be an increase in back-pressure in low-speed conditions (like driving around town)? I bet that would give you a little more bottom end (part throttle) on a high flowing true dual setup.

Summit's got them for about a hundred bucks.

I like the idea of these mufflers, they could potentially be a nice street muffler. Will definitely be looking into any reviews on them, they could be nice on my truck.

The 2.5" muffler says that it will flow 841cfm. That's not too bad... at all.
