Help!! Choosing a Cat-back

I had the same situation as OP. My car came with the lm2, and when i installed the LT's and ORY, it became a SUPER nuisance. It is unbearably loud and almost impossible to keep quiet when the law is present. It has a terrible rasp from 2k-4k rpm, when putting your foot into it. WOT, idle, and cruising sounds great, but under any acceleration is completely terrible. I would be going with corsa, because i think they sound amazing, but since i'm on a tight budget, i'll be going with hooker. I don't too much care for the magnaflow, i just don't care for the tone. Now, if i could find someone with a used hooker catback, that will ship!......

Magnaflow is my favorite. Sounds great and is a decent price. You could probably find mf and lts for the price of gmmg. The best thing about magnaflow is you can keep it quite when you want. Tame at idle, sounds good at crusing speeds, and screams at wot.

I have the GMMG with LT's no cats and a cam...it's loud as F*ck, but I like it.

I'll try, sounds like I'll have this setup for a while so I'll get the camera up and running and do a few runs...

And as far as being loud as F#@$...I would love it! but my neighbors wouldn't, and I wouldn't either after the first few noise pollution tickets.

Starting the header + ory install late tonight, hopefully finished by tomorrow.
I'll be sure to express my opinions...haha

Quit listening to the pussies who hate the way a raw V8 American muscle sounds because thats what an SLP cat back sounds like. Given the fact you have a LM2 and not an LM1 you should be alright.

Finished the install today and spent a little time driving....enough to form somewhat of an opinion.

I like idle, i like throttle blips, and i like WOT...but 2000 to 2500 it is super raspy as compared to any other rpm and 25 to 3k it vibrates like crazy...

So i have mixed feelings about the setup and its only been a day, but I like it enough to not spend 700-1000 to make it just a little better sounding....

Good thing you listened to some of these people and just tried out what you already had.

I'm thinking about switching from TDs over the axle to a Ypipe/catback because of ground clearance, and me wanting to lower the car a good amount.

Also, there was some y-pipe fitment problems...it didn't seem to slip all the way forward, and the drive shaft safety loop is nowhere close to fitting back on the car. Any suggestions?

And the vibration is so bad that I feel like part of the setup is touching the floorboard at that rpm. Any ideas on eliminating this, or is it just the muffler not doing its job?
