Default American racing y-pipe

Does the American racing catted y-pipe really fit & not bang against the floor?

American racing and Kooks have awesome clearance and the fit / quality is great.

I have to say on my setup, in some places it is very tight. But I have poly motor and trans mounts, so the y pipe doesn't move much when the drivetrain torques. Stock rubber mounts, it might be a problem. That said you could probably spend some more time adjusting the fitament to gain some additional clearance.

How long have you ran with stock motor mounts with a trans mount? I have the same setup and hear this is bad. I have been 5mo.

I ran a poly tranny and stock motor mounts for about 3 years. I just pulled the motor mounts to switch to poly not long ago, and both stock motor mounts were cracked and split pretty badly. Whether it's just a coincidence or a direct cause of the poly tranny mount... no idea!
