Default cutout too big

I have true dual exhaust that is 2.25 in. The smallest cut outs i can find are 2.5 in. how can i make them fit on right with no leaks and no welding? is it safe to run open header for a little while, just the 3 inch long section where i cut off while they are coming in the mail?

is this for your 77 or 01? i only assume the 77 cuz of the 2 1/4 pipe diameter. you buy some reducers. jegs and summit carry them.

Damn Jerami you're all over the place man

You can use a 2.5 cutout on 2.25 diameter pipe. Any good welder can seal that up pretty easy. For example, I have a 3.5 inch cutout in my 3 inch intermediate pipe, works fine and sealed..
