Default Cutouts and FLPs

Anyone weld in a couple of cutouts into the ORPs? The price FLP is asking is rediculous (255 for a pair that bolt in). I'm just wonderin if its possible with the reducer built in. Random thought cuz im a cheap a$$ college kid

TIA

Why do cutouts? Also you could have flanges welded onto the cutouts and bolt them up assuming they are the same length as the FLP race tubes.

If you are on a college budget, just out one cutout in the i-pipe, it doesn't sound much different, and the advantage of 2 cutouts can't be that much..

Is it weird to have a cat back and cutouts??? I'm considering getting one or two cutouts (either manual or electric) to go onto an FLP kit with my GMMG. What is better, the off road pipes or the cats with the cutouts? Or maybe I'm completely lost when it comes to headers

I have the FLPs with the off road pipes in, and a cutout in the I-pipe. If I want super load, I open the cutout and let 'er rip, else you can close the cutout and continue through your catback to get rid of the harshness of the cutout. I have a 2OTL muffler, which is considerably quieter than the cutout open. The difference is like night and day..

you could have dual 2.5" cutouts welded into the FLP straight pipes. or a single 3.5" cutout in the iPipe the singl cutout in the iPipe won't be as loud in the car but either way cutouts and a ORY is going to be loud. if you plan on driving around with them open i would put it in the iPipe. but for track only use i think the dual cutouts might gain more.

How difficult to reach the cutouts with wingnuts? (assume it's a set of dual cutouts into the straight pipes). Will I need ramps to access? Or perhaps I should save myself the trouble and just get electrics?

Ah, good to know. Don't really wanna go the electric way anyway. Sounds like Dual Cutouts w/ Wingnuts goes on the shopping list.
