Default autometer tach and water temp wiring ?

Anyone know what wire on the connection to the stock dash gauge pod is for the engine RPM and water temp? I am not splicing into the actual ECM, I am running it off the connction that connects to the stock dash gauge pod!

That doesnt make any sense when the wiring is right there! Why run it all the way through the firewall and to the PCM when the actual conncetion interface is right on top of the stearing column! Just needing any info if anyone knows which wires they are on the PCM! I can follow it from there!
