Default Alternator Problems

Alright guys, I have a 99 Camaro Z28 with about 70K on it. When I bought it , it had ac delco alternator on it. When I would floor it, the volts would go down to about 10V and during idle, it would be like 10 volts. I replaced it with GM Remy and it lasted about 6000 miles. Now its doing the same thing.

I pulled the back plastic cover off of the alternator and it appears the rear bearing on the alternator crapped out, it moves like a 1/8 and its loud when spinning it. Do they make a replacement that will actually last? I am going to get a free replacement but if it goes again, I would like to try something else.
