EGR SES Light
EGR SES Light Hey guys I just did my LS6 intake swap today took me about 1 and hour and half I thought that was awesome! My car has the 02's shut off, the air shut off, but when I unplugged the EGR to delete it today it threw the SES light. My question is it because a break in the circuit? Is there a dummy you can plug in to simulate the plug in of the EGR itself? Can people please tell me what I can buy to go into the program myself and shut it off? If I do that will it effect the tuning thats already been done to the car?

Well I know that but Im asking is there any type of tuner that you can buy yourself to do this? And if so will that tuner change the tune thats already been done to my car?

yes but the cost of a handheld tuner will be MORE than the cost of getting that single code deleted via hp tuners. it will not change your custom tune unless you change it.
Ok thanks man just didnt know about that. I thought about bolting the bracket and EGR back on and just hacking off the tubes on the bottom side of the egr itself to turn the light off, but if I do that my EGR is total junk and wont ever be able to use it just in case. Im in Kansas so I really dont see that ever happening but you never know with all the tree huggin going on.
