in need of a sound opinion.... okay here is my situation...about 2 years ago I bought a set of slp tuned lenth headers with 1 3/4 into 3 inch primaries.......for those of you who dont know, these headers hang low and as a result have a couple dents in them (nothing too bad prolly losing about 2-5hp)......now i was under the car the other day and noticed they are starting to rust....after some research on slp website, i found out they have a lifetime warranty for a header free of rust..1.) will they take store credit or do a refund for a header they garentee for life without the origanal recipt? afterall they know the headers came from them...2.) if they decide to help me out with store credit which size and type of headers should i go with..1 3/4 or 1 7/8? setup will be 4k stall, 373, ls6 intake, si5 cam (231/237, 59x/5xx 112) and patriot stage 2 59cc ls6 heads...as well as udp, and slp flow pac....so again...do u think slp will take care of me? and if so how; store credit? direct replacement? no help? and the second question is which header to go with if im givin the choice? thanks in advance
Only way to know is to call them. As far as the header choice, 1 3/4 will be fine for the setup you describe, but if you have plans for a bigger motor down the road, get the 1 7/8 now and you wont need to change later, the motor will still run great now too.
