I GOT MY BBK HEADERS! but....

Ok so I got my BBK headers today and I'm very happy with them, but I take a look inside the headers and I see something that looks like surface rust in both of them....

Is this suppose to be there? Will the headers rust through?

Looks like rust on the inside. If you got them new I would tell the vendor.

Looks almost like the weld spatter burned thru the coating on the inside of the primary. As far as the other pics, looks like spotty protective coating.

So my headers are okay? Its not rust?

Yeah I did already I'm just waiting on a response. I also sent them picture.

^ No it's rust. Like I said, it seems like the weld spatter burned thru the protective coating. Without that coating, the pipes will rust. And if they're rusting on the flange, it's not stainless steel. Unless there is something else going on here. Crappy coating or something.

They'll take a long time to rust through. It just won't look right, or as nice as shiny coated stainless.
