Thanks for the pics! I'm ordering the parts in tomorrow (today I guess ) and I'll post some pics of the Hooker y pipe after the install. Going with a 3.5 inch cutout and then reducing down to go into the catback. Should flow very well with the cutout open!

awesome job larry.. this is Kirk i bought the other set of pacesetter long tubes from ya.. car sounds great now. i need to attempt this y-pipe mod.. seems like it will flow alot better

oh and i did the cutout.. but decided to do 1 after the y-pipe merge.. so that i can put a high flow cat on each side of the y-pipe later on to make it somewhat legal

I'll trade with you. Send me your drivers side header and that Y pipe and I'll send you my Pace Setter. Yours looks good!

Mike (MM98),

Where's your pics?

Now I see them. I don't know how I missed them earlier.

Yours looks very similar to mine except you have your tucked up better then I got mine. I already had the tail pipes set so had to drop it a little more than you losing a little ground clearance. I also have a cutout just after of the 3 1/2" collector.

Kirk,

Glad you got your headers installed.

I think a heads and cam car will need this collector mod. On a stock heads/cam engine I'm not sure you will run any better.

Yeah we had to make sure that the y-collector would fit above the safety loop.. I got my exhaust bumped before the rear fascia so making sure the tips were ok wasn't a problem.. It does look like a tght fit but I 've got no banging issues as of now.

Mike.
