I used stainless bolts from ACE hardware and some heavy duity lock washers (got them from a local speed shop)......no rust and no leaks in over a year

I used Stage 8s. They work great, and stay nice looking. I didn't bother using the locking clips though, I was having a hard time getting them to work so I trashed em.

No leaks on mine either...

Stock works fine. If you have a set of headers with a extra thin flange, the stockers may try and bottom in the head before the header is tight enough.

I just installed headers and used these.Breslin Header bolts
The car has only been started in the garage and there is no leaks. They look great, a little expensive, but for the peace of mind is why I got them.
Supposedly the company won Innovative product of the year and a few other awards at SEMA.
Plus they add more bling to the engine bay!

Previously I used the Stage 8 set, without the locking clips though - to much of a problem. However, with the new combo, I spent the bucks and got the ARP header studs and they are the best investment ever. It makes it 100 times easier to get the gasket lined up and the headers on nice and straight, plus once they are in you won't ever risk cross threading the head again. Just throw the studs in, place the gasket on, then slip your header on, put the washer/nut on and you are done. NICE.

Of course they aren't cheap though.

I agree, the header studs are the way to go. They make things especially easy when you are hanging turbo manifolds off of them!

your able to get the header on with the studs in? I tried to do studs but did not have enough room to get the header on.

Yep, headers went on with the studs allready in. The passenger side had plenty of room, but the driver's side was tight, but thats with limited mobility because of the stepped headers and not having the car up in the air high enough cause I was being lazy.
