Default head coolant lines

i run the lines that just block off the coolant portson the top of the heads . Would it help cool the heads cool down if i changed to the tube that runs to the Rad.

The cross over tube (or tubes if you run on both front and rear) vent steam from the system (back to the radiator). This prevents internal steam pockets and the hot spots that could result from them. So yes, the tubes keep things cooler.

unless it's leaking I don't think replacing it would help any...
