Default exhaust help

With my new 9" I think im going to have to mess with my exhaust system. Im either going to get rid of the 2 sets of bullets i have in my duals now and run one set of mufflers or im going to ditch the duals and run a y setup with a 3" in, 4" out flowmaster merge and run a 4" over the axle to a single exhaust tip and not worry about how it looks.

what is everyones opinion on mufflers to use?! Im in CA, and i need to keep it quieter and hide the cam as much as possible but at the same time done want a **** ton of backpressure and be giving up horsepower...

i live in cali and i run 3" pipe to a 3.5" dynomax bullet muffelr and it sounds good and i did notice some more low end vs the slp exhaust on the car when i bought it. im planning on doing LT and no cat till i have to smog it with a 222/226 cam 113lsa and its .598 lift should sound nice.

what can you running i hear the one im planning on running is about the biggest you can go in cali which sucks of not id throw a trex or ms4 in dat bitch...

well obviously the y-pipe will be quieter than the duals, especially out of one muffler outlet. were your duals dumped? what's the reason for wanting to ditch the duals, besides being quieter? again if they're not dumped, you can dump them with huge baffled mufflers instead of bullets to dampen the sound and give you plenty of clearance for the rear...

im running an MS4, whats the point of going with a 226 or a 228 when they are both gonna chop at idle? both will get you pulled over so who cares about getting teh 20 if that gains from going 228 cam only... go big or dont go at all

no my duals crrently go udner the axle and out the middle under the license plate. The ditchin the duals thing is i dont believe they will fit with the new ARB. im owrried about going to a large muffler and losing too much HP
