Question about Code 0430 I have a question about code 0430.
I have a 2000 TA 5.7L/6speed/Hurst Shifter.
I am getting just this code, no other.
The car is using more fuel that is normal and the performance is lacking in 5th and 6th gear. I know that the code is for the either the rear 02 sensor or the cat, but I was wondering if it could also be caused by one of the plugs not working properly or the previous owner or the car lot used regular fuel. I suspect that the rear plug on the passenger side has not been changed because of the difficulty and I know that the car lot used regular fuel.
I cleared the codes after using Premium fuel for a while and the SERVICE ENGINE light stayed off for about 50 miles and then came on again.
What are your thoughts on this?
