Default TPIS tb

Anyone buy TPIS's throttle body? What do you guys think about it? I looke at the price, , amazingly high. Claims to add 22hp to stock engines and 30hp on modified engines.

Hold on to your money and see how the 90mm FAST TB and intake works out.

Already have the LS6 intake, but I would like to know the hp numbers off of the FAST TB and intake.

Maybe 22-30 FWHP on a 427 not a 346. Like waht was said above, wait and see what the 90mm Fast TB and intake does first.

to use this throttle body you will also have to send in you intake for modifications{the front of the intake is removed and a new oval peice is attached.i have one on my 01 ss and it works great better throttle response and driveability than wirh a ported stock tb expect 10 to 15 hp gain on a 346 with h&c,ls-6 intake and ported tb slightly more with strokers.

The dynos I have seen show that the TPIS TB and intake mod out performs the FAST intakes by a good amount. Granted, they are preliminary results, but I think the FAST intake is greatly overpriced at $800 + $500 throttle body, you could do a TPIS intake mod and TPIS TB, or nearly a sheetmetal intake for that. We'll have to wait for more results o be for sure, but thats my opinion...

I used Oval as the search word on their site. Some shops might be able to get a better deal on this.

The Tpis Oval TB lists for $650 on page 126
For Tpis to mod your LS6 intake is $450 on page 127

Sounds like ~$1100 if you have an LS6 intake to work with otherwise ~$1400 to $1500.

Cartek posted they got ~7rwhp, I know Lou posted he got a good bit more.
