Tsp ory I've done a bit of research, but I can't find any info on whether or not TSP is currently using a merge-type collector on their ORY's or if they are just one pipe slammed into another pipe - as pictured on their site. I was looking at getting the pacesetter header and TSP ORY combo at the recommendation of someone on this site.
The catted Y has a merge on it, but I cannot afford it and would like to get away from cats.

I've heard that the fitment is a little better on the ORY's that do use the merge pipe, although I'm sure my 100,000 mile stock motor mounts will test that to the limit
Ahh yeah, I was under the impression that you were going to be installing this in your garage. If its a money efficient option to have one fabbed, there is no reason not to go that route.

Both the catted and ORY's have the new merge on them. You can do a seach in this section and there are a couple threads w/ pictures of the redesigned y-pipes in them. I don't believe the site has the new merge pictured on them. We have been working on the new site so this one doesn't get the details updated as much as it should.

Mine is pretty low. I would say 3.5" max clearance at the lowest point. I'm on DMS springs, around 1.5" drop. I am careful about where I drive and I still scrape on random things every now and then, but its tolerable.
They are no longer making the GenI Y pipe.
This is the one that had the horrific merge.
The GenII has a much nicer merge.
I started with a GenI, but between my FM-merge, some mandrel bends and a powerstick, there's nothing left of the original piece it was.
