air filter on oil cap ?

Default air filter on oil cap ?

just wondering why i see people putting air filters in place of their oil cap ? does this do anything or help anything ?

Not if you have a PCV system. If you do, it will reduce its effectiveness. If you don't have a PCV system and your a street car, all you are doing is reducing your oils life and harming the environment.

I was wondering about that... I put up a thread in the newb section asking about why or if it should stay on the pullout, but that makes sense. thanks for the info
