Default How to remove steering knuckle to get headers in?

Do I just take the 11mm bolt out at the top of the steering knuckle? OR is there another bolt at the bottom of the knuckle I need to remove ?

Take both 11mm bolts out and pull it off. There is one at the bottom as well. You will need to do both otherwise you will not be able to get the top knuckle off of the steering column. The part where it fits together is too long to just pull it off from one side.

I dont remember taking off 1 bolts, I just remember taking one off and pulling the knuckle off the rack.

Yes the wheel needs to be straight, but the knuckle will only go back on 1 way.

top bolt you want the wheel straight and a 12" long extension and a 11mm deep socket to reach (or I did anyways).

Bottom you want to turn the wheel slightly to the driver side and use a 6" long extension with your deep well 11mm, or even a standard well. Then just wiggle it about. You may have to tap it a bit at the firewall side if it hasn't been removed in a long time. PB blaster can help with this.

What kind of headers are you installing? Are you coming in from the bottom?
