Default Got my headers in!!!

I don't see how so many people have problems installing headers on ls1's. It was real easy. Headers slid right in, ory slid on great. Took me a total of 7 hours and didn't really have any troubles. I used my stock metal gaskets, soo I hope they hold up good. Just thought I would rant. Let me know if you got any tips for what I might needa do after there on or stuff I should look for.

Yes take out the air injection and egr. Also get a tune it is not 100 percent needed but it will give you better mpg and smooth it out. Plus you will get a couple more ponies out of it.

did you buy the pacesetters w/o the o2 bungs? basically if you drive your car with no precat 02's its going to not have much in the way of fuel trim its goin to run fat all the time the car need's o2's to monitor how much fuel to add or take away to try and keep the car stoikiometric.. the car can use the maf and map and throttle position to try and keep it running at 14:7 to 1 afr. if you take off your egr and air pump again it really depends on which direction your goin are you going to drive this car every day?

I would not run it without any o2's.... better safe then sorry?

I would for sure remove the AIR and EGR assuming u got the race style headers.

Without the 02's, it will be in open loop all the time and run rich as a safety precaution. It will also typically run rich with headers if it hasn't been tuned for them. So it is probably very rich. I wouldn't drive it much that way.

Headers that fit well aren't bad to install at all as long as you have the car high enough in the air.
