Remolving EGR without freeze plug

Ok, I am installing my race style pacesetters tomorrow and I can not find a freeze plug the correct size for the intake manifold. Can I just remove the egr from the exhaust manifold but leave it still attached to the intake manifold? What do I need to do to get this to work?TIA

you should easily be able to find a freeze plug. They have them at like every auto parts store. Its 1 3/8"

I was at pepboys, they were out of that size. I went to auto barn(like autozone) they said they don't have any. They sent me to another auto store down the road and they didn't have any either. There is no autozones around me either. This sucks.

Try NAPA or Advanced Auto. Hopefully they will have it for you.

Can I just remove the hose from the pump going to the exhaust manifold or do I have to remove the entire thing?

just make a make shift block off plate or buy a set from one of the sponsors.

Go to ANY local parts store and ask for an expanding freeze plug. Everyone has them!

Drop it it in, give the bolt a few twist, and you have a perfect seal.
