How hot do the headers @ the y-pipe get?

How hot do the headers @ the y-pipe get? I am trying to rig something up to keep my headers from hitting the floorboard. Someone suggested that I put a piece of heater hose between the y-pipe and the floor board. I am trying to see if it can handle the heat.

My y-pipe is Jethot coated so it may be different but I used the rubber hose from the AIR temporarily until I got the Valve spring welded in between the drivers side of the y pipe and floorboard. It just barely melted. Never smelled it burn. Problem was vibration. That's why I did the spring.
