Chambered exhaust?

Chambered exhaust? Ok so I have made up my mind and I want to get a chambered exhaust for the bird, but now comes the new dilema of should I run one muffer or two. Car is stock except for some ebay headers which are not installed yet. I have no idea if duals would be overkill. I'm hoping I will be pretty close to the gmmg sound, without the price.
So I am thinking Headers - x pipe- Chambered Exhaust.
Hoping for some ideas here.
Some "experts" have tried to talk me out of duals because the car was not designed for them, so as we all know clearance is an issue so I have no idea on what to do.

Whoops... lol I wanna run them out the back 2.5 pipe preferbally over the axle, it's just I got some guys telling me that they can do it however, it's not the proper way on our cars etc.

i ran 3" true duals with sweet thunder chambered resonators under the axle out the back. it tucked up nicely (i'm lowered so it was nice) and it sounded awesome! to me and some of my buddies it sounded better than my buddies 01 SS with a SLP y-pipe and GMMG exhaust. also your true duals will get quieter running over the axle as opposed to running under the axle.

The underside of our cars is not made for true duals. Its made for a Y pipe with a single over the axle pipe. The lines under the car dictate this. However, running 2 2.5 inch pipes where the stock I pipe ran can tuck very nicely. The true dual sticky has some great pictures of setups like this.
