Motor mounts for header clearance
Motor mounts for header clearance I just installed TSP 1-7/8 headers and a TSP catted y-pipe. The header/pipe on the driver's side is hitting the floorpan, but there's plenty of clearance on the passenger's side. Then I noticed that the engine is slightly higher on the driver's side than the passenger's side - like the engine rotated slightly from the torque reaction over time. Anyhow, I need to fix the problem. I figure new motor mounts are the solution. I'm figuring I'll use urethane mounts. Where can I get a set? Also, I'm not going to be able to raise the driver's side of the engine much, due to the exhaust clearance issue. Am I going to have to take the header off again to replace the mount on that side? Or has anyone replaced mounts with similar clearance issues?
