Problem with that is, im trying to get my CME exhaust back. Right now, it happens to be dumped right over the axle w/ Loudmouth 2 muffler. What im possibly thinking is to buy the TSP Rumbler Catback, since its pretty cheap. Buy another dynomax bullet, and get them installed how i mentioned in an earlier post of mine. Which was, to put the 2 mufflers before the 90% bends for the CME. Ill just put in a new piece of pipe where the muffler originally goes in this catback system. Just a thought for now....

Badguy7, here is the picture I took to the exhaust shop to show them what I wanted. It hardly uses any pipe since the bullets fill up the sides almost perfectly. There isn't any extra room for play length-wise, so anything longer than a Dynomax bullet will be too long. They custom made the Y after the axle and welded a high flow cat on the pacesetter Y all for $80 (and took off the stock catback).

^^ Pretty much how i want it, without the cat of course. Only problem is, out here i can get a guy who will do the job and give me a great cheap price but he doesnt mandrel bend his pipes because he doesnt have the machine for it. He just cuts and welds every piece he does together. Its cheap and effective, looks like **** but he will do the job how i want it and do it right, but idk if that hurts performance or not.

The other guy, well he didnt really know how to do the exhaust correctly when i had him remove my stock muffler, and put in a LM2 in the I-Pipe and do what he shouldve done and made a custom y to connect the pipes where the stock muffler was. Instead he created some bullshit piece that hurt performance. After i dumped the exhaust, it felt like the car really woke up after that. Which is why i was thinking of maybe just buyin the TSP catback, getting another dynomax bullet and taking it to this guy. So he can install the catback and then just cut and weld pieces with no **** ups lol The rest of exhaust shops here, cost way to much. So i dont bother with them.

That's pretty far back for the cat to heat up quickly... It's definitely not working well back there..

yeah good luck doing CME cheap. anytime you do a custom CME job the bill is quite large, discounted or not. i'de grab a stock cme muffler and tails and mate it to a cheap-o o/r y with a cheap-o cut out. anything more is gonna be hella expensive.

I'm not too worried about anything other than eliminating rasp.

I got my Bullets for $75, my cat for $40, CME for $150 and install for $80.
The headers and Y were $425, so I'm under $800 on the whole thing.

You could just run a resonator.

The use another bullet there. Cats that don't heat up properly can clog.

It's really no different than an off the shelf catted-y.

It's a lot different.... The OE place them as close as possible for quick light off.The temps are dramatically lower back there. Not to mention the flow will not be so good running one aftermarket cat. A fair amount of aftermarket cats are junk to begin with... If you're running it back there it will not light off quickly. While it is warming up it will start to foul. Cheaper and better performance from a resonator...

Kind of hard to hear, but does seem like it has a nice deep rumbler at idle once i connected the computer speakers. Im about to order Dynomax Bullets from Jegs. What size did you get? 3" or 2.5"?

Just thought about it, my 6LE CME tip is 2.5". So im kind of lost right now as to whether i should go with 3" bullets or drop them to 2.5" and keep the 3" i-pipe and after the small y going back to 2.5.

Well, you said time for a change from LM2, go LM1

I have MAC midlengths with flanges cut off (so straight 3", I added V bands), high flow metal core bullet cats, dual 3" exhaust with H pipe and TWO LM1's right after the H pipe, then dual 3" over the axle and finished off with a 3" stainless CME. SOUNDS AWESOME.

So should i go with 2.5" or 3" Dynomax Bullets for my setup, which will be similar to the pic posted above by 1998Z28Unloaded? My CME tips openings are 2.5. So that's what has me wondering what size inlet/outlets i should go with for the bullets.
