Anyone ever install a Murray 160* T-stat from HOriley?

Picked this up tonight as a store in town had one in stock and in the Texas heat with the full load of AC and my right foot, the stock cooling system has been given a big challenge cooling the iron 408. I purchased that and the damn thing doesn't fit. Looks like the rest of them on the internet. I would have to grind down probably 1/16" from each side of the support arms.
Anyone dealt with these before? P/N 37960 Murray

No one? I had them pull the stock Murray thermostat and it had the same size diaphragm supports. So it would not of fit either. I ended up returning this, but no one else has dealt with this?

Figured out the problem, apparently its an LS2 pump, but still looks like an LS1 pump. Looks like some of the dealers started swapping these for standard style thermostats. If I am right, the stock thermostat should pop right our of the housing. I guess I will try that tonight.
